Apricots are stone fruits belonging to the Prunus family and are closely related to peaches, nectarines, plums, and cherries. Grown in the pristine regions of Uttarakhand, Himalayan apricots are cherished for their naturally sweet flavour with a gentle hint of sourness. They are widely used in desserts, jams, chutneys, and squashes, adding a rich fruity taste and aroma.
Apricots are naturally rich in Vitamin A, beta-carotene, and other carotenoids. They are especially known for supporting eye health due to their high lutein content, along with antioxidants that contribute to overall wellness.
Our Pahari Apricot Concentrate is made from 100% pure apricot juice. Fresh apricots are carefully processed by extracting juice from the fruit flesh, followed by a natural clarification process using enzymatic pre-treatment and filtration to remove cloudiness. The juice is then gently heated to evaporate excess water, resulting in a rich, flavourful concentrate. It is packaged and frozen as required, and later reconstituted with water to restore it to juice form—without compromising taste or nutritional value.
